Labor Lifetime Achievement Award

Detective Jeffrey Joseph
Riverside Police Department

Detective Joseph has been a member of the Riverside Police Department for over 24 years. During his tenure with the department, he has been very active in the Riverside Police Officer’s Association, as well as other law enforcement associations. As a member of the RPOA, he has served as a board member, PORAC representative, Vice President and President. He has also served as the President of the Inland Chapter of the California Reserve Officer Coordinators Association and the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Riverside County.

Currently, Detective Joseph serves the members of the RPOA as a representative for the Board of Directors to both the CCLEA and SCALE. He is always willing to give of his time and talents in whatever project the president of the RPOA requires of him.

During his long service to the membership of the RPOA, Detective Joseph has been involved in a number of association causes that were highly politically charged, fighting for officers’ rights against two chiefs, both of which a vote of no confidence were obtained. During his tenure as president, he dealt with highly political issues surrounding the Tiesha Miller incident where four officers and one Sergeant were fired and the department came under investigation by the federal and state government.

Detective Joseph is a highly professional peace officer who put the good of his fellow employees and the citizens ahead of his own career. The Golden Badge Foundation is pleased to present this year’s Labor Lifetime Achievement Award to Detective Jeffrey Joseph.
