Carl Deeley
Commander, Los Angeles Sheriff's Department
Commander Carl Deeley, while assigned as the Captain of the Lancaster Station, was able to work towards increasing staffing and increasing officer safety on the streets for his deputies as well as improving a safer environment for residents and businesses in the Lancaster area.
The City’s budget demonstrated a corresponding support for his efforts. During his tenure at the Lancaster station, the City’s public safety allocations increased from $11 million to $18 million.
His record of integrity and leadership, along with his demonstrated planning and use of resources, were successful in gaining an additional 33 deputies for the city between 2002 and 2008.
Carl Deeley was recently promoted to the rank of Sheriff’s Commander, which would have been a great loss to the City of Lancaster and the personnel at the Sheriff’s station. However, the Sheriff’s Department assigned Commander Deeley to the Patrol Division that covers Lancaster.
Commander Carl Deeley is one of those law enforcement managers whose performance went beyond the call of duty to improve officer safety, interdepartmental relations and the agency’s public image and is awarded the Golden Badge, Top Management Award.
The Golden Bade Foundation proudly presents Commander Carl Deeley the Top Management Award.
